Block known threats on your phone
Anti Phishing blocks domains in its regularly updated threat database, including connections made by other apps. In supported browsers, it also checks the address shown in the address bar. It does not read messages or page content. You can use it on a personal or work phone.
How the protection layers work together
Network connections
Web Shield uses a local VPN mechanism to block connections to known dangerous domains. The app shows protection status and detected threats.
Links from other apps
Network protection checks connections even when the address comes from a text message, a messaging app or a QR code. It does this without reading the message.
Malicious network infrastructure
Network Threat Protection blocks access to known malware distribution infrastructure, command-and-control (C2) servers and other confirmed threats. Detection coverage depends in part on how current the domain data is.
Threat intelligence
Regular updates on active threats help the app block known dangerous domains. You can see whether threat data has been synchronized.
Device security posture
For organizations, Device Security Posture collects information on Android security, including screen lock, encryption, security patches and signs of root access. Administrators can review the device report in Enterprise Security Center.
